The Redcentric Elland Data Centre is a premier modern facility strategically positioned just off the M62 at Junction 24 Ainley Top between the major hubs of Leeds and Manchester. Situated at Lowfields Business Park in West Yorkshire, the site encompasses a substantial 37000 square feet of fully built out whitespace. It is designed to be a Tier 3 aligned carrier neutral environment that caters to a variety of hosting needs, ranging from private suites and bespoke pods to secure caging and shared rackspace.

Connectivity is a core strength of the Elland facility, offering direct access to Redcentric’s 100Gb MPLS core network. The centre is carrier neutral, providing clients with diverse routing options through four major providers namely BT Virgin Media Vodafone and KCOM. This infrastructure ensures high speed low latency communication, making it an ideal choice for businesses requiring robust and reliable data transit across the North of England and beyond.

To ensure continuous operation at all times, the facility utilises a sophisticated power architecture featuring 11kV distribution and twin feeds to individual racks. Resilience is maintained through four UPS units with a minimum of N plus 1 redundancy. In the event of a total grid failure, the site is backed by two 2MVA 415V generators supported by sufficient on site fuel to maintain a full load for seventy two hours, providing confidence for mission critical operations.

Maintaining an optimal environment for hardware is handled by a robust cooling system that operates with a minimum of N plus 1 redundancy. The facility targets a consistent temperature of 25 degrees Celsius with an allowable variation of three to five degrees. Humidity levels are maintained between twenty percent and eighty percent. These environmental conditions are continuously monitored to protect equipment and ensure long term reliability.

Security at the Elland Data Centre is comprehensive and includes round the clock on site personnel, proximity based access control and continuous digital recording via internal and external cameras. The facility also features a securely managed loading bay for safe equipment handling. Fire protection is provided through a double knock dry pipe sprinkler system controlled by pre action valves, ensuring effective suppression while minimising risk to electronic equipment.

In addition to its technical capabilities, the data centre offers on site amenities designed to support visiting engineers and staff. These include a conference room, a breakroom and Remote Hands services for off site assistance. The facility is easily accessible via the A629 Calderdale Way and provides free on site parking. Entry to the secure grounds is managed through an intercom system located at the main entrance.
