Khazna Data Centers (DXB1)
Established as a cornerstone of the UAE’s digital infrastructure, this Khazna facility represents a significant investment in regional connectivity. The site boasts a fully built out power capacity of 16.97 MW, supporting 5,800 square meters of white space. Since becoming operational in 2014, it has held the distinction of being the first hyperscale data center in the region, providing a robust foundation for large scale enterprise operations and high density computing requirements.
Strategic Location and Security
Ideally situated in close proximity to Dubai Downtown, the facility offers a strong geographical advantage for businesses requiring low latency access to the city’s commercial core. Security is a central pillar of the operation, with onsite security personnel and comprehensive monitoring in place around the clock. This ensures that both the physical infrastructure and the critical data housed within remain protected at all times.
Reliability and Global Standards
The facility is engineered for maximum uptime and operational resilience, adhering to strict international benchmarks. It is designed and certified as a Tier 3 facility, ensuring redundant power and cooling systems to minimize the risk of service disruption. This level of certification supports the high availability requirements of mission critical applications.
Connectivity and Carrier Neutrality
Operating as a carrier neutral hub, the data center gives customers the flexibility to select from multiple network providers. It incorporates fully diverse fiber entry points and a dedicated meet me room to enable seamless interconnection. While currently supporting a focused ecosystem of peering networks and providers, the facility is built to scale with future connectivity demands.
Flexible Hosting and Customization
Khazna provides a broad range of hosting configurations to suit varying spatial and technical requirements. Options include full and partial cabinets, shared rack space, private cages, and dedicated suite footprints. Remote Hands services are also available, ensuring continuous technical support for hardware management so customers can remain focused on their core business objectives.
Vision and Digital Transformation
Since its establishment in 2012, Khazna has played a key role in advancing the UAE’s digital transformation. Through the design, construction, and operation of wholesale data centers, the company supports future commerce and innovation. Khazna continues to prioritize nation building and sustainability while expanding its regional footprint to reinforce the UAE’s position as a global ICT and connectivity leader.
