Edged Energy (Arasur BIL01) Data Center

The Edged Bilbao-Arasur Campus is a state-of-the-art data center located in the Arasur industrial heartland, distinguished by its focus on sustainability and innovation. The campus boasts a robust capacity of 100 MW and includes three data center buildings alongside one administrative building, all designed for efficiency and future expansion. Its strategic location offers ultra-low latency connections to North America and Northern Europe, leveraging its position at a major fiber crossroads to enhance global connectivity.

The facility has a Fully Built-Out Power of 24 MW and features an outstanding, guaranteed Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15, setting a high bar for energy efficiency in the industry. The design adheres to a Tier 3 standard, ensuring high availability. Key infrastructure components, including UPS Redundancy, Cooling Redundancy, and Standby Power Redundancy, are all configured to an N+1 level, ensuring high reliability and an estimated "six nines" of availability.

The campus utilizes innovative cooling systems that are completely waterless, demonstrating a responsible approach to local resource conservation. These systems are highly capable, supporting up to 70 kW per rack with air cooling and up to 200 kW per rack with liquid cooling. As mentioned above, the Cooling Redundancy is maintained at N+1.

Edged’s commitment to environmental stewardship is highlighted by the adjacent 135 MW solar farm, which underscores the campus's dedication to clean energy and carbon-neutral operations. The exceptional guaranteed PUE of 1.15 further solidifies its standing as an energy-efficient and sustainable data center.

Security is paramount at the campus, which is equipped with a Fenced Perimeter, continuous CCTV surveillance, and multi-layered access control, including Biometric Access Control and Card Access Control. For safety, the facility uses Automatic Firesuppression systems. The entire complex is a Purpose-built Construction Type facility.

The campus is positioned at a major fiber crossroads, which facilitates its offering of ultra-low latency connections to North America and Northern Europe. The presence of a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) ensures seamless and diverse connectivity options for tenants.

The campus provides a variety of capacity options including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites. The facility is built across 3 Building Floors, includes a dedicated Loading Bay for equipment handling, and offers Remote Hands services to assist tenants with on-site needs. The operational reliability is monitored by state-of-the-art monitoring systems and secure Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) controls.
