The Telekom DataCenter provides a range of managed solutions, starting with the housing of IT technology, which includes the rental of secure space with guaranteed power supply and cooling. It offers LAN services for interconnecting technology within the data center without requiring customer-administered hardware.

Comprehensive security services are available, including Firewall, IDS/IPS, Antispam, and Antivirus based on a robust Fortinet UTM solution.

Support services include secure "remote access" and "remote hands" for physical operator assistance based on customer requests.

The center also provides extensive project-based services, such as DC relocation, backup and restoration, disaster recovery/business continuity solutions, and consultancy for data center design. Outsourcing, out-tasking, virtualization, and system integration services are also offered.

The facility ensures high availability with a power system connected to the grid via two independent HV lines. This is supported by transformers and UPS systems in an N+1 redundancy (expandable to 2(N+1)), with the UPS capable of supporting a fully loaded DC for 16 minutes.

N+1 redundant diesel generators provide 48 hours of autonomous operation, with two separate fuel tanks and fuel availability guaranteed due to the company's strategic status. Power distribution is highly resilient, featuring two active paths (A and B), each capable of 100% capacity, routed through separate fire zones.

Network connectivity is robust, featuring physical connections via two fully redundant optical paths entering through separate building entrances. The data center is directly integrated into the Slovak Telekom backbone network (currently 2x10 Gbps with unlimited expansion) and offers high-speed, redundant internet connections to five international providers via a Meet-Me-Room (MMR). Connection to other alternative national or international providers is also possible.

The data center is designed to a Tier 3 standard and is ISO27001 Certified.

Operational since 2011, the facility is a purpose-built, sole-tenant detached building designed specifically as a data center. The construction is a poured concrete skeleton with one underground floor and four above-ground floors.

The property is protected by a fence with controlled entry. It is equipped with a 3000 kg capacity freight elevator, an external loading platform, and wheelchair-accessible transport routes. The building also includes service and office spaces such as preparation rooms, meeting rooms, offices for administrators, and parking spaces.

The facility was financed via Slovak Telekom's own sources, eliminating building liens.

The data center provides 1,200 sq.m. of fully built-out whitespace divided over three floors.

The IT rooms feature a 100 cm high double floor with a 5A flooring category, supporting a maximum load of 5 kN (730kg/m2), and a headroom of 300 cm. Flexible configuration options are available, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites.

The data center operates on a strict zoning principle, structurally separating IT halls from all support technology components like UPS, distributors, and CRAC units, which are placed outside the IT rooms.

The cooling system uses a hot and cold system through the elevated floor, with N+2 redundancy for internal cooling units and N+1 redundancy for chillers, each placed in a separate fire zone. The design incorporates "free cooling" green technology and is prepared for high-density, water-cooled racks. The target energy efficiency is a PUE of 1.5. IT halls are maintained at a temperature of 22 to 24°C and a relative humidity of 40 to 60%.

Physical security is maintained 24/7/365 by an onsite security guard, access control systems, an electric security system, and a CCTV monitoring system. The facility employs a strict zoning principle, ensuring maintenance personnel only access the specific technology they are responsible for (e.g., cooling, UPS), preventing their entry into IT rooms. All redundant support technology is isolated in separate fire zones.

The center utilizes a highly sensitive laser smoke detection system, an electronic fire alarm, and a gas (HFC-227ea) extinguishing system that covers an area within 10 seconds without damaging IT technology.
