DC Digitalis is the fourth data centre developed by VNET a.s., built upon more than nine years of experience in data centre construction and operation. The facility was designed to deliver high operating efficiency and reliability. It features a unique cooling and electrical power solution that provides greater redundancy while also supporting an ecological approach that helps save the environment, all while adhering to a TIER3+ standard.
Facility Specifications
Operational since 2013, DC Digitalis is a purpose-built data centre with a total fully built-out whitespace area of 1,000 square meters. The facility is engineered for high-density deployments, supporting a maximum performance of 20kW per rack and an overall max power load of 5 kW per square meter across the data floor.
Power and Redundancy
To ensure high availability, the facility's power infrastructure is designed to a Tier 3 standard. This includes N+1 redundancy for all UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, ensuring clean and consistent power. Furthermore, the standby power systems also feature N+1 redundancy, guaranteeing a reliable backup power source during utility failures.
Connectivity and Networks
The data centre offers robust connectivity through four independent optical routes. It features a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) for network cross-connects and provides access to eight different peering networks. The facility also hosts one tenant that offers colocation services to third parties.
Security and Fire Suppression
Security is comprehensive and multi-layered, beginning with 24/7 onsite security staff. The facility is monitored by CCTV surveillance and access is strictly controlled using both biometric readers and card access control systems. For safety, the data centre is protected by an automatic fire suppression system that utilizes advanced water mist technology.
Services and Support
DC Digitalis guarantees service availability and provides 24/7/365 support from both onsite security and technical staff. A wide range of colocation options are available, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and custom suites. "Remote Hands" services are also offered to assist clients with management and maintenance tasks.
