Princeton Digital Group’s MU1 facility is strategically located in Mumbai, India’s financial capital and a major connectivity gateway on the country’s west coast. Positioned within a city that hosts leading financial institutions and stock exchanges such as the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), MU1 benefits from a highly developed digital ecosystem. This prime location enables the facility to serve enterprises, hyperscalers, financial institutions, and international clients with low latency connectivity and strong regional market access.

MU1 offers a fully built-out IT power capacity of 48 MW, distributed across two purpose-built, state-of-the-art buildings. The campus is designed to support full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rack space, and secure cage footprints, allowing flexible deployment models. Its power infrastructure includes a 220 kV substation with diverse utility feeds, ensuring high resilience. The facility operates with 2N UPS redundancy and N+2 standby power redundancy, supported by substantial onsite fuel reserves to maintain uninterrupted operations during extended outages.

The data center demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency with a design Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.5. Advanced cooling systems include quick-start chillers, N+2 cooling redundancy, and thermal energy storage to optimize performance under varying load conditions. This design ensures consistent temperature control and operational stability, even in peak demand scenarios, while maintaining energy efficiency standards aligned with global best practices.

As a carrier-neutral facility, MU1 provides robust and diverse connectivity options, including a minimum of three fiber paths into the campus. The presence of a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) facilitates interconnection between multiple network providers, supporting peering networks and high-bandwidth, low-latency data exchange. This infrastructure enables clients to establish resilient, scalable network architectures tailored to their business requirements.

MU1 maintains five layers of physical security, reinforced by 24/7 onsite security staff and comprehensive CCTV surveillance across the facility. Strict access controls and continuous monitoring ensure the protection of critical infrastructure and client assets. The data center is equipped with advanced smoke detection systems and automatic fire suppression, including gas-based suppression systems specifically designed for data halls and utility rooms, ensuring rapid response and minimal equipment impact in the event of an incident.

The facility is designed to Tier III standards and holds Tier III certification, reflecting concurrently maintainable infrastructure and high availability. MU1 is certified for ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 20000, ISO 45001, and PCI DSS compliance, demonstrating adherence to international standards for information security, business continuity, service management, occupational health and safety, and data protection. These accreditations reinforce MU1’s position as a secure, reliable, and enterprise-grade data center environment.
